design from conception to delivery
Conducting interviews, paper and digital
wireframing, low and high-fidelity prototyping,
conducting usability studies, accounting for
accessibility, iterating on designs, determining
information architecture, and responsive
design.
User Research: Summary
I interviewed women in the urban and sub-urban areas to understand their struggles with the holiday decorations. Most interview participants reported the lack of budget as the main cause of their lack of holiday excitement. The feedback received through research made it very clear that users would be
excited and willing to create their own decorations, if they had access to easy-to-make DIY tutorials
to help guide them.
Persona:Nancy
Problem statement:
Nancy is 28 years old marketing executive, who loves holidays, but does not have enough money to decorate her house or buy gifts for her loved ones. Nancy is looking for a creative way to create her own decorations and gifts.

Sitemap
A sitemap showcasing the various sections of the website was created. Below is a visual representation of that sitemap. In this case the different craft categories of the website is highlighted.

Paper Wireframes
Taking the time to draft iterations of each screen of the app on paper ensured that the elements that made it to digital wireframes would be well-suited to address user pain points. For the home screen, I prioritized a quick and easy ordering process to help users save time.
